Fenway or Brookline?

I'm trying to decide between the two. Fenway so that the Back Bay Fens is nearby, providing Meg with a place to run about and play. It's also walkable to school, though I've gotta be on the west side of the Fens. It looks walkable on google maps, but I see that I've got to navigate across a highway...hmm wonder if that's a good idea. Also, it's nearer to TL, Fern and Bryan who live across the river in Cambridge.

I've heard good things about Brookline, how it's family oriented and has good schools and a nice library. People who live there say they love it. But I've gotta commute to school. It's about 4 stops on the green line. Too far to walk especially if it's in the dead of winter. And we'll be further away from our friends.

I've been looking at Craigslist every day, but I wonder if it's too soon to look as I don't leave for another month. By that time, all the postings I see now will be gone.

Of course the ideal place would be 580 Comm Ave, a BU run housing for graduates. In my blurness, I always thought that was a dorm and I never bothered to check it out as the word dorm put me off right away. Well, in my desperation, I decided to check it out and it turned out to be one hell of an apt block! Looks great in the pix, new and clean, and they're actually apartments, not dorms. And the icing on the cake is that it's right next to the COM bldg! Bugger! And I only just chanced upon it. I signed up immediately and asked how long the wait list is...I got a reply a couple of days later and...hold your breath...it's 500 people long! FURGET IT!! The rent isn't cheap anyway. It's almost 1500 (usd of course) for a 387 sq ft (TINY!!) place but the location is its great attraction. Anyway, if by some miracle I'm able to get the 1 bedroom apt, (only 11 available out of 290 units, the other 279 being studios) I'm going to grab it!

So now it's back to Fenway or Brookline, Brookline or Fenway?!?!?
Decisions, decisions. Why can't life be simple and decision free? Bahh!
